Thinking activity: workshop on cultural studies

 On 27 December 2019 we had one workshop on cultural studies. It was teaching by Dr. Kalyani Vallath ma'am. This workshop organised by prof. Dilip Barad sir at department of English. Dr. Kalyani ma'am is very good teacher and specially her way of teaching is excellent. We get information from her and we enjoy a lot in her lecture.
 1) what is your understanding about the concept of cultural studies?
Ans:- she taught us about cultural studies and its key points. She gives basic knowledge and idea about cultural. Cultural study is revolution. It always demands something new. Cultural study is a interdisciplinary study and social realities, power and relations, drama on social theory, philosophy, history, linguistics, media.
2) How would you explain a layman about cultural studies?
Ans:- cultural study is about study of people, culture, tradition, etc. Cultural study talk about us. We see culture in conversation and advertisement of working class people and observe differen byt people or understood. His act wt many way.
3) if you asked in interview to teach cultural studies- how would you introduce it?
Ans:- it is study of structure and ideology. Cultural studies emerge from the maxism and the relates to the larger society , community and religion.
4) how many examples from this session were so catchy that you will never forget it? Write about it.
Ans:- she give many example about cultural studies. She gives example of way of looking the world. She tells that cultural studies changes the way of looking the world.

The Butterfly poem by Arun Kolatker

Here I discuss about  a poem is a literary form composed in verse. It normally gives account of personal feelings, emotions and imagination. The poem The Butterfly There is no story behind it. It is split like a second. It hinges around itself. It has no future. It is pinned down to no past. It’s a pun on the present. It’s a little yellow butterfly. It has taken these wretched hills under its wings. Just a pinch of yellow, it opens before it closes and closes before it o where is it. When I was in B.A I studied various poems.
